Hi everyone! Thank you for stopping by. Here's a quick introduction for the family behind this shop. My name is Darby and I am all of the works behind the scenes. I design everything in house along with 90% of the products on my page. I am a self taught sewer/designer and I enjoy creating items for other families to love and cherish. Firstly I am a Wife and Mother to the beauties shown in the photograph. My Husband and I are Highschool sweethearts, and the three little ones definitely keep us on our toes. My Husband is a first generation union construction Journeyman Lineman. Thats a mouth full. We have loved all of the adventures, relationships, and even hardships that this trade and journey has taken us in. We started out so called tramping from the Midwest to the West Coast. We lasted a little over 6 years in the Tramp life before we finally decided a few more square feet would be nice. We are currently temporarily settled in Southern California with no concrete plans on to where we will head next. It is true that we both may have souls of gypsies!
I started this little gig in the back of our 36ft 5th wheel when my middle child was a little over a year. My Husband was working a lot of storm work and had been gone for numerous days over storm season. With the kids being so little and used to Daddy home every night those transitions to him being gone for weeks at a time was rough on them. I got to designing and with a picture of my Husband I created what became the first Lineman Blanket design. The kiddos cuddled and loved on that blanket constantly. In fact it is still a constant in their lives, meaning its usually strewn on my floor somewhere. From then I began to get a few requests from other ladies familiar with the familiar line struggles and they too began to love their kids' Daddy blankets. Lineman Blankets was born! I have grown this little shop leaps and bounds from those beginning days in our cozy little home on wheels and I cannot wait to see where the future will take us from here. I strive on customer satisfaction and becoming close with those familiar with the lifestyle. I strive to give back in all ways possible, please let me know if I can help with something.
Lineman sure are a rare breed and we couldn't be thankful for all of the opportunities and relationships we have made!
Thank you for stopping by and please send me a note if you have any questions!
